In March, the inventory level was the highest in five years.
Ukraine since the beginning of the heating season reduced natural gas reserves in underground storage facilities by 44.5%, or 7 billion 589,91 million cubic meters, according to Ukrtransgaz.
At the moment, the reserves are the largest in the last five years: 2016 and 9.4 billion cubic metres, 2015 to 7.9 billion cu m 2014 – 7.3 billion cubic meters, in 2013 – 8.3 billion cubic meters, in 2012 – 8.6 billion cubic meters.
According to data as of 29 October 2015 in storage was 17 billion 64,11 million cubic meters of gas on March 12, 2016 reserves in UGS facilities amounted to 9 billion 474,2 million cubic meters, 19.9% more than the year before.
Note, for the last heating season Ukraine has spent more than 9 billion cubic meters.
As reported in the last two years gas consumption in Ukraine decreased by 31%.
