U.S. authorities want to arm teachers in schools

In Washington noted that the teaching profession without criminal side is pretty difficult. However, in recent years, the reality is that in schools increasingly often the shootings occur.

In the police report that according to statistics, since 1990 the number of crimes using firearms has decreased several times. However, mass shootings in public places is on the contrary increased.

The most bloody in the history of the case occurred in Newtown, Connecticut, in 2012. The shooting was recorded on-site elementary school Sandy Hook. The accident killed 28 people, 20 of whom were children.

In October last year, an armed man shot and killed nine students at the state College of Roseburg, Oregon. The U.S. government said that officials were trying to take preventive measures, but in this case it is not enough. “Giving their children to school, parents trust the teachers not only child education, but also his life. But how can the teacher protect a child’s life, if he has no weapons, when suddenly an armed criminal? Arming teachers, we will be able to not worry about the safety of our children,” added members of the legislative bodies in the United States.

At the meeting of the Ministry of education the decision according to which employees of educational institutions will be able to carry disguised firearms within the school, was unanimously approved.
