The leader of the party “Batkivshchyna” Yulia Timoshenko declared that the inhabitants of Lviv politicians who came to power in Ukraine in the result of Maidan. She said this on Monday, September 19, at the meeting of the conciliatory Council of the Verkhovna Rada, the video of the speech is available on YouTube.
According to Tymoshenko, in Lviv, she attended a book forum, and talked with people in shops and on the streets. “So many tears, curses and hopelessness, I have never seen! I first heard the requirement that if the democratic forces that are in power now, not able to run the country, let them leave and return zlochinnu Vlad” [criminal authority], which did better for the people,” — said the leader of “Batkivshchyna”.
Tymoshenko added that Ukrainians consider the current policy of the Kiev authorities a systematic and deliberate genocide. “If you think so, in Galicia, you can imagine what are the thoughts of people from other regions,” she added.
On 15 September, the Verkhovna Rada Deputy from the faction “Batkivschyna” Ivan krulko said that Kiev for the tranche of the International monetary Fund pledged to cut funding for the social sphere. According to him, the text of the Memorandum signed by Kiev authorities and the creditor stipulates, in particular, raising the retirement age, closing of small schools and transfer of medical institutions to balance local budgets.
Viktor Yanukovych was President of Ukraine in 2010-2014. He left the country in February 2014, after violent regime change, accompanied by mass protest actions in Kyiv and other cities, during which the operating mode called “criminal power”. These events are called Euromaidan (Maidan). Against Yanukovych in Ukraine initiated several criminal cases. The former President declared wanted and his properties in the country were arrested.
