According to the creators of the film, “Twenty-eight Panfilov” is a film, the plot of which exclusively the feat of the Soviet soldiers without the distraction of a secondary storyline and love story. The shooting started in 2013 and were held at “Lenfilm”, St.-Petersburg and Ivanovo. Part of the funds for the painting were collected by means of crowdfunding: the future of the audience was made about 30 million roubles thanks to what the film was recognized as the most successful crowdfunding film project in Russia.
