Turkey said that Syrian military helicopter dropped on Turkey-backed rebels in Syria barrel bombs. If confirmed, this will be the first direct clash of the Syrian army and Turkish troops.
The Turkish military reported that the helicopter “presumably the forces of Assad” bombed the rebels in a village near the town of akhtarin. The bombardment killed two insurgents, five were wounded.
In Assad’s army, this statement has not yet commented.
