The Republican presidential candidate said he didn’t approve of Putin’s policy towards Ukraine
Republican presidential candidate Donald trump said he didn’t approve of the actions of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Eastern Ukraine, and that the flattering words of the Russian leader will hardly help him in the interaction with US in the future.
In an interview with Reuters on a range of issues, trump said that the praise, which Putin awarded him, do not give the Russian leader.
“The fact that he said nice things about me, doesn’t mean it will help him in the negotiations. Does not help,” he said.
Likely Republican presidential candidate also said he was willing to negotiate with North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN to try to stop the nuclear program of Pyongyang.
In response to interview trump adviser to democratic candidate Hillary Clinton pointed out that not so long ago trump has doubts that he will be able to establish a good relationship with Prime Minister David Cameron.
“Let me tell you straight: Donald trump insults the leader of our closest ally, and then turns around and says that would be happy to hold talks with Kim Jong-UN?” – said a senior Clinton adviser on foreign policy, Jake Sullivan.
“Trump is apparently experiencing a strange admiration of foreign authoritarian leaders such as Putin or Kim. His approach to foreign policy does not seem rational to us”, – he said.
