Billionaire Donald trump, candidate for the US presidency from the Republican party and virtually guaranteed his nomination as official candidate, is moving from self-funded election campaign for collecting donations. As reported by the associated Press, he intends to soon hold the first meeting with prominent businessmen and public figures to raise funds.
According to him, this approach to the financial side of the question insists the national Committee of the Republican party, and he only goes to meet the wishes.
To date trump has already spent 43 million dollars on convincing Republicans that he is the best candidate for the post of President. As he stated earlier, self-funding campaign “to avoid control of the political donors and special interest groups or lobbyists”.
From the donations he can use only 20 per cent of each contribution, the remaining funds go to the National Committee of the Republican party and party organizations at the state level.
