For several months, French journalists Nicolas Daniel and Louis de Barbeyrac studied the fishing industry from the inside. They came all the way from Norway to Vietnam, visited Sweden and Denmark. The result of their investigation was the film, revealing the truth that tries to hide the “fish lobby”.
The investigation they started from the West of Norway, where in the countryside there are many fish farms that are engaged in artificial cultivation of salmon. The journalists met with the Norwegian activist, ecologist, and founder of the Union for the conservation of nature, Norway’s Kurt Oddekalv which he believes is an outrageous fact, which is hidden under the waters of the fjords.
Kurt oddekalv of the long time waging war with the farms that artificially grown salmon in Norway. He told shocking details about their work. Pectrum publishes his story.
“In Norway, the situation with fish is catastrophic. Fish too much on this little farm they are grown on 2 million individuals! Fish is sick, it is now possible to talk about the pandemic: the pancreatic necrosis and infectious salmon anemia conquered all of Norway. But hiding it from consumers,” says Kurt.
The activist has been monitoring the large fish farms the last 10 years and keeps them under control, in order to gather evidence. He has a record, showing how the employees of these fish farms is poured into water strong pesticides with neurotoxic action.
“Have to wear masks and protective suits, to not be affected by chemicals for treatment of water from parasites, and on these farms it is not uncommon. In this salmon you can find a variety of chemical substances. It threatens with poisoning, and the person shouldn’t eat”, he said.
Kurt bluntly, “Norwegian salmon — the most toxic food in the world.” Fishing in Norway brings $ 4 billion a year and ranks second after oil.
To unravel the secrets of these farms, a Kurd of the ship Oddekalv uses spy elements.
“The bottom is covered with farms under a 15-metre rainfall, it is full of bacteria — it’s all the leftovers from feed waste and chemicals added to kill parasites. The level of contamination is very high. Toxic substances, fish excrement… the seabed is completely destroyed, it is like a gas factory. Bubbles of methane and so on, and the pesticide are identical to the substances which in the first world Vaughn was used in the gas attacks”.
The main problem of the Norwegian fishermen — the so-called fish lice, which, parasitic on the fish’s body, may kill her. Sea louse develops resistance to all types, so fishers use pesticides, whose effectiveness is much higher.
“This is reflected negatively on the fish. So 50% of the fish cod fish on farms are born with a mutation. They can’t close their mouth. This gene mutation, and so she was gone, into the sea must live 8 generations. Man when you see a fish, they do not want to, but if you cut off the head, then no one will notice,” he said.
Salmon is also subject to mutation. He showed that fresh salmon meat falling apart at the opening.
“This should not be, the meat must be elastic. As you know, wild salmon 5-7% fat, and cultured 15-34% fat. And in the fat tissue accumulate toxins. Accordingly, such fish become the most toxic in the world,” he said.
According to the French toxicologist, Jerome Ruzzin noted that during his study the words of the ecologist has confirmed.”Indeed, the degree of contamination of farmed salmon is very high. It is 5 times more harmful and more toxic than any other product. These toxins must be avoided, and eating, we risk to feel their impact,” he said.
