Do you think maybe the money to live comfortably and earn? What city is the world leader in 2016? I understand that we are all more expensive Uryupinsk and other small country, but throughout the world the authority uses a rating “the Index of sustainable urban development” published by the consulting firm Arcadis.
Now, this office has recently published its latest rating of 2016, which evaluated the city from the standpoint of ease of doing business, namely:
- transport infrastructure;
- tourism;
- GDP;
- ease of doing business;
- the importance of the city in world economic relations;
- quality mobile communication and Internet development;
- the level of employment.
The top was very interesting, perhaps biased but very entertaining.
19th place – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
This is one of the major financial centers of the Islamic world and the center of one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
18 – Seoul, South Korea
In the ranking of social sustainability Arcadis this city won the first place. This is an indication that in Seoul, the lowest level of inequality in terms of income, and minimum level of crime. And, of course, is one of the technological capitals of the world.
17th place – Copenhagen, Denmark
Copenhagen is generally one of the best places to live in the world. The city is at a consistently high places in all the rankings. To live and work here very comfortably, though not cheap.
16 – Amsterdam, Netherlands
Analysts believe that this is very financially stable and rich city. The principle is true.
15th place – Macau, China
Macau is a special administrative region of China. This is the only place in China where officially permitted gambling. Here squander their frenzied earnings of Chinese businessmen. The result is a city which in terms of population, by Chinese standards, more like a village (which is for China to 600 thousand inhabitants), is one of the richest in the world and trying to become the world capital of gambling.
14th – Vienna, Austria
A great city. One of the tourist centres and excellent transport infrastructure.
13th place – Abu Dhabi, UAE
This is the city where a lot of money and a lot of desert. Not included in the top ten because of a dysfunctional environment. But when the Sheik is correct and this point will definitely become a leader.
12th place – San Francisco, USA
The city that is always full of tourists and an important technological center in the world. This is a great place for business and startups. But the Gini index of income inequality here is one of the biggest in the world. 11 Munich, Germany
The capital of Bavaria is one of the largest cities in Germany. There is many headquarters of large companies, so high place is not surprising. And yet there is the Oktoberfest.
10th place – Stockholm, Sweden
It is clear that it is the capital and economic centre of Sweden and Scandinavia, but it is also one of the best in the environmental plan of the cities of the world.
9th place – Paris, France
In France the good work, here is a great trade unions. You can just live comfortably. And Paris is the economic engine for France and many other countries.
8th place – new York, USA
Do you think that in Moscow all running around like crazy. Yes, it run, because we need to hurry if you want to live. But in new York all run even faster. It is an international center for trade and politics. But the transport infrastructure of the “Big Apple” leaves much to be desired. There are plenty of other, to put it mildly, problems.
7th place – Prague, Czech Republic
The standard of living of inhabitants of Prague two times more than in other cities of the Czech Republic. In addition, Prague is one of the richest cities in the EU. And yet there are constantly crowds of tourists.
6th place – Edinburgh, United Kingdom
The Scottish capital can be proud of one of the most prestigious universities in Europe and is an important UK financial centre.
5th place – Zurich, Switzerland
A modern city which is very convenient for life. Here take a responsible attitude to protecting the environment and not to forget about those humble institutions, like Swiss banks.
4th place – Dubai, United Arab Emirates
A very rich city. But as in Abu Dhabi, there is a problem with environmental pollution around the desert and lots of oil.
3rd place – London, UK
London is London. This is a global business, Finance, infrastructure and many other things, including tourism. And even Brexit is not an obstacle to the high place, the vast British capital.
2nd place – Hong Kong
The excellent infrastructure, the trump location, wildly growing Economica and so on. It is a city leader.
1st place – Singapore
Even 70 years ago there was a solid slums, and a large, or rather a very large port. Then the city stopped being a British colony and became independent. And now it is the richest and cleanest city in the world.
What Russian city? In the rating is Moscow. It takes the 44th place. Immediately after Barcelona and before Chicago ahead of Los Angeles, Rome, Montreal and many more in some cities.
