Last week took place the dedication ceremony of the new envoy of the United Nations: they became Wonder woman, a fictional character of comic book publisher DC. Shortly before this event on the Internet was published the petition, the signatories of which the members of the United Nations asked the head of the organization ban Ki-moon to reconsider its decision.
“Too big” Breasts Wonder woman caused a massive protest
More than 600 people signed the petition in the first hours after its publication. As explained in the text of the document – they all work in the UN. At the time of writing, a petition signed already 2755, while the authors expect at least another 2500 signatories.
The petitioners explained their position as follows:This woman with big Breasts, a figure which may not be from the point of view of physiology, dressed in a revealing costume colors of the American flag and high boots may not be a worthy symbol of the struggle for women’s rights”.
According to the authors of the document, the UN, appointing to the post a fictional character who sends society the wrong message – the organization can’t find a real woman for this honorable work. Interestingly, the authors of the petition, fearing layoffs, decided not to disclose their names in public speeches any criticism of the candidacy of Wonder woman was not expressed.
