Nearly 70 members of illegal armed formations and their accomplices managed to return to civilian life, said Deputy interior Minister for Dagestan Vasily Salyutin.
“By working together for the last and current years in Dagestan managed to return to civilian life 68 persons”, – quotes its words “Interfax”.
The public Prosecutor Ramazan shanavazov of the meeting for the prevention of crimes and offences in the region said: “last year in the Republic was registered 504 (379 in 2014) crime on the participation of citizens in illegal armed groups, of which 175 were associated with the departure of our citizens to Syria to participate in the activities of international terrorist organizations.”
In November last year it was reported that during a special operation in the North Caucasus over the past five years has killed 875 of the security forces and that in Dagestan there are 12 bandit groups numbering up to 50 militants.
It is reported that North Caucasian militants swear allegiance to the terrorist organization “Islamic state”.
