Russian farmers do not need to fear the abolition of the food embargo against countries that supported sanctions against Russia. This was stated on air of TV channel “Russia 24” the Minister of agriculture of Russia Alexander Tkachev.
“Nobody knows, abolish sanctions at the end of 2017. We would like to it was years five. Even if they cancel, then nothing bad will happen,” he said. According to the head of the Ministry of agriculture, Russian agriculture competitive, the profitability of agricultural production with state support is 20 percent, without state – 10 percent.

The food embargo is valid from the summer of 2014. It has been repeatedly extended, most recently until the end of 2017. The supply of certain types of food in Russia at the moment banned from USA, Canada, EU countries, Norway and Australia. Later this list was supplemented by Albania, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Ukraine and Montenegro. Of these countries, is prohibited from supplying fruit and vegetables, milk and dairy products, meat and fish and products made of them. In mid-September, this list was added salt.
