The Colombian authorities temporarily opened the border with Venezuela, which is experiencing a severe economic crisis. Thousands of Venezuelans crossed the border with the neighboring country to buy groceries and necessary items, reports “bi-Bi-si”.
It is noted that in open areas the pass formed a long queue. According to people on the border, they go to Colombia mainly for the food and drug administration.
It is noted that the five crossing points across the border will be open for 12 hours every day.
Earlier, the presidents of Venezuela and Colombia agreed to a gradual opening of the borders. In August 2015 the border between the countries was closed after the attack of the smugglers in the military.
