Thousands of Erdogan’s supporters gathered for a rally demanding the death penalty for the participants of the failed coup.
Thousands of demonstrators voiced in Istanbul endorsement of incumbent President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said Tuesday the Agency AP.
According to him, the protesters gathered in the historic part of the city, demanded the death penalty for those involved in the coup attempt and sang songs praising the President.
Rallies in support of democracy are held across the country after a failed attempt of a military coup, which killed over 200 and wounded more than 1.2 thousand people, said AP.
