Today it became known that the Embassy of Canada decided to issue a visa to the Director Alexei Mizgirev, who on 26 August this was denied. It was planned that on 9 September, the Director will present his new film “Duelist” – at the international festival in Toronto. When all the documents were submitted, it became clear that the consular officer considered the purpose of the visit Mizgireva in Canada unconvincing.

With the assistance of the Russian Embassy in Canada, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Embassy of Canada on 5 September, the situation was resolved – it was decided to issue a visa to the Director Alexei Mizgirev that he was able to present a large-scale adventure drama “Duelist” at the film festival in Toronto – one of the largest in the world.
The film’s producer Alexander Rodnyansky explains that the world premiere of “Duelist” will be held in the scheduled date:I am very glad that this unpleasant situation is resolved. And we are grateful to all who helped us in this – the Russian Embassy in Canada, and the Russian foreign Ministry and the Embassy of Canada. The world premiere of “Duelist” will be held with the participation of Mizgireva Director and actor Peter Fedorov, and, very importantly, the film will be first shown in the IMAX format”.
In addition to Alexey Mizgirev, Russian blockbuster unveil starring singer – actor Peter Fedorov. In Russia the film “Duelist” will be released on September 29.
