The world Bank on the fate of the Russian economy

Всемирный банк о судьбе российской экономики

The latest forecast from the world Bank about economy of Russia proved to be both positive and negative. This year, analysts do not expect anything good, however, look quite different predictions for the future.

Experts expect that by the end of the year the Russian economy will show negative dynamics. According to the forecasts, which correspond to and information of the Russian Ministry of economic development, the fall will be only about half a percent. It is much more optimistic than the June predictions from the world Bank. In the summer, experts said that the fall will be twice greater.

Oil is starting to recover and it gives a reason to talk about the growth of the Russian economy in the coming year. In the new document, the world Bank says to increase by 1.5% for 2017 and 1.7% in 2018. This assumes that the cost of “black gold” and natural gas will also rise. Next year experts expect a rise in prices by 55.2 59.9 per dollar and for oil and gas respectively.

It is important to note that the forecast is the most optimistic possible. Experts say that if the price of oil will increase by 15%, the rate of growth of the Russian economy will be higher than expected the world Bank. Thus, Russia’s economy may grow more than 2%.
