Wife of Dmytro hnatuyk are unable to move the death of her husband.
The wife of the famous Opera singer Dmitry Hnatiuk, who died April 29, not suffered the bitterness of loss. After a few strokes she was paralyzed and now in a grave condition is in hospital “Feofania”, told the publication, “GORDON” her daughter-in-law Natalia Hnatiuk.
Galyna Gnatyuk, a distinguished linguist, historian of Ukrainian language, doctor of philological Sciences, soavtor multivolume “Dictionary of the Ukrainian language” and a number of encyclopedias, laureate of the state prize. She is now 88 years, 66 of which she lived together with Dmitry Gnatyuk.
“Galina Makarovna very grieved at the death of her husband. In the end, had a stroke. The first attack happened may 11. Then she went to the hospital. Then there were a few bumps. She is completely paralyzed on her right side. In a serious condition. We are doing everything possible, but doctors say she will not be able to recover. So the whole family is in a difficult moral condition. Particularly hard for Andrew (son Hnatiuk. – ed.). He is in incredible tension,” – said the interviewee.
According to daughter-in-law, today, June 7, Minister of culture Yevhen Nyshchuk met with the son of the late singer Andrey Gnatyuk, to once again Express his condolences to the relatives. “We are grateful to all for your sympathy and support. Very pleased that the Minister is mindful of the Testament of Dmitry Mikhailovich. Nyshchuk has promised us that the anniversary bust will set. Hnatiuk preferred from anybody not to depend, did not like to ask, did everything himself. And we were told: “don’t ask, it doesn’t help, nothing will be paid”. So he ordered a gravestone eight years ago by selling his paintings. Since then, the bust from the pedestal of white marble is stored in our garage. We, too, anything from anyone not necessary, just fulfilled the last request of Dmitry Mikhailovich. After all, to transport and install the monument, you need special equipment,” – said Natalia Gnatiuk.
She stressed that Dmitry Gnatiuk more than anything, loved relatives, especially grandchildren, and Ukraine. Therefore, actively participated in Maidan in 2004, many spoke from the stage in Kiev, went on tour on cities of the country, which twice suffered pneumonia. According to the source, the Ministry of culture highly appreciated the achievements Hnatiuk and offered to name one of the streets of the capital in his name and on the house where he lived, a memorial plaque. By the way, in the Chernivtsi already appeared street and the Philharmonic society of a name Hnatiuk.
Dmytro Hnatiuk died 29 APR 2016. He was buried with honors at the Baikove cemetery in Kyiv on may 4th. For his life, the artist has recorded more than 15 LPS and six CDs.
