At the time, calling the USSR an “evil Empire”, Ronald Reagan helped Western and Pro-Western propagandists to create the Soviet Union an enemy. Similar characteristics even managed to cloud the minds of millions of Soviet citizens, but to expose the wickedness of the 40th President of the United States, in fact, was not so difficult. It’s thanks to the homeland of Reagan, not the Soviet Union, in some places today, children change into goats.
To enroll your child in exchange for a goat, a bag of rice, tea, sugar and sunflower oil is fine if we are talking about a country where a wave of American democratization. That is such food packages, according to media reports, calculated for the 6-year-old “wife” of 55-year-old resident of Afghanistan, Sayed Abdulkarim.
I can only imagine what was happening in the mind of the father of the child who committed this terrible deal, and how to feel at this point the child. But this is the reality of the impoverished and the wild life in the country, the favored American freedom. This time the girl was lucky. She released and her “husband” arrested. But what awaits her next? And how many more of these children suffer torments in the mountain villages of the country, which is still some 30-40 years ago had all the chances to become a developed and modern state?
Pivotal moment in Afghanistan’s history came when the fanatics with the feudal consciousness flowed rivers of money and weapons from the US and its middle East allies, who they referred to as a response to “Soviet aggression”. Later nurtured by the States, the radicals have become a real power and did not want to listen to all their “mentors”.
Such disobedience has pushed the Americans to restore order in Afghanistan alone. And as a result they have achieved simply amazing results: they did not build schools, power plants and hospitals, but has created all the conditions for the production of heroin in Afghanistan in record time increased by about 50 times! But at the same time and in order for fathers to sell their daughters for a goat and a sack of rice in terms of hunger, poverty and the mixture of feudalism, primitive communal system.
As a comparison. During its presence in Afghanistan, the Soviet Union built for its Central Asian partner, about a hundred socially and economically important facilities. GES Puli Khumri-II, thermal power plants in the nitrogen fertilizer plant, the dam and HPP “naghlu”, tank farms, pipelines, airports and airfields, factories, bridges, roads, bakeries, kindergartens, schools, institutes, colleges, veterinary lab, irrigation canals, grain elevators. And it’s not talking about the objects of military and police infrastructure.
It is clear that the Soviet Union saw Afghanistan geopolitically valuable ally, covering the country from the South. But the humanistic aspects of Soviet policy in Afghanistan is objectively present.
Of Prime importance, in addition to economic and military support was the promotion of social development. Afghanistan surely turned into a modernized secular state, which today, unfortunately, almost nothing remains.
The case of Afghanistan is far from unique. The difference is the policy of the USSR and the USA were evident in the dozens of other wars and local conflicts.
In Vietnam the Americans destroyed three to five million people and filled everything I could, a toxic mixture of Agent orange to destroy vegetation in which millions of Vietnamese to this day are dying from cancer and other incurable diseases.
USSR, in turn, are built in Vietnam, a few hundred enterprises. The share of the Soviet Union built factories, mills and mines accounted for 90% of coal production and 80% of industrial production. From exploiting a colony of Vietnam largely because of Soviet assistance has become a modern state. To honor Vietnam it should be noted that, unlike many other “allies”, the Vietnamese think about this assistance with gratitude and largely suffered political sympathy with the Soviet Union in the modern Russia.
Soviet specialists built factories, hospitals, schools, roads and power plants in various countries of Africa and Asia. Very sad for Libya, Syria and Iraq, which the Soviet support helped in record time to transform from a feudal to a modern secular state with well-developed economies. The standard of living in Libya was the highest in Africa, and social security – the most ambitious. Today, in this country, unfortunately, we can forget not only about social guarantees, but also for the state. Where recently petrol was cheaper than water, and utilities and medicine to education – free hosted gang and tribal chiefs, and the survival of the one who is better able to hide.
Bombed Libya with Iraq and destroyed their normal statehood Americans and Europeans just washed his hands. To restore the country no one is going. Without external support, the chances of a normal life they tend to zero.
Lucky Syria. As President and ally – Russia. The Americans and puppets did all the killing in the territory of that state of the middle East hundreds of thousands of people, destruction of cities, businesses and roads. But this time their plan, fortunately, failed. However, until the complete victory of the Syrians is still far away, and after that to rebuild the country have long.
But still it is much better than what is happening in Libya.
I must say that there are countries that, unlike the Asian and African States, have shown towards our people ingratitude. In Eastern Europe, the Soviet Union built more than 1,600 industrial plants and the entire infrastructure. However, as we are poles and Balts, we are all, alas, know.
And it’s not just historical distaste. The East Europeans were tried on US policy in the neighbouring Western European countries, and this example for the policy of Washington is not typical. Initially, the Americans planned to implement in Europe, primarily in Germany, the so-called “Morgenthau plan” that provided for the liquidation there of heavy industry and turning its territory into a huge potato field.” But then the Americans realized that on the borders with the Soviet Union, which they had planned sooner or later to destroy, they need strong allies. Therefore, for Western Europe, Japan and South Korea, Washington has made an exception and have allocated credits for their restoration in exchange for military dependence and deprivation of part of political sovereignty. So paradoxically, but for their well-being, the Germans and the Japanese, too, should thank Moscow. Don’t be that Americans thought the “Communist threat,” Germany and Japan could be something of a modern Libya.
One was built, healed, taught, gave plants and ready production. Other under the slogans of the struggle for freedom has killed millions of people and poisoned them with chemicals.
So after this “evil Empire”? Those who are left behind in Kabul, the Institute and the clinic, or those who created the conditions for a 50-fold increase in heroin production and sales of six children in exchange for goat with rice and sugar?
Today to dance on the same rake one is a brotherly country. Maybe at least the people will be wise enough to escape from the American delusion and be saved? Or a year or two children of pigs and the brew will start to change already somewhere near Chernihiv?
