Ukrainian nationalists from the Svoboda party initiated the ban on the concerts of musicians who sing and play in Russia. In particular, they plan to abolish the performance Potap and Nastya Kamenskih in Lutsk, scheduled for April 18. Information about this appeared on the official website of “Freedom”.
The statement says that the party members have registered the draft decision on the prohibition of the Lutsk city Council. It includes not only concerts, but also any entertainment events with the participation of artists in Russia.
“Part of the Ukrainian show business has taken a Pro-Russian position and continues to build this country work together. They actively participate in the celebration of the Russian dates, promoting the Russian world view and contribute to the Russification of the Ukrainian information space. This is unacceptable,” — noted on the website of “Freedom”.
The Ukrainian duet “Potap and Nastya” active in Russia, which was criticized by compatriots. In 2013, nationalists pelted performers with eggs in Ternopil for song in Russian.
Ukraine earlier banned the concerts of musicians performing in Russia. These include, for example, Belarusian Max Korzh and American Fred durst from Limp Bizkit.
