Taras Stepanenko spoke about the possible naturalization Marlos.
The head of Committee of national teams of the football Federation of Ukraine Myron Markevych previously claimed that the Brazilian leader “Shakhtar” Marlos ready to take Ukrainian citizenship and become a player of the national team of Ukraine. This information was confirmed by teammate Marlos in “Shakhtar” Taras Stepanenko.
“We discussed this issue. Position Marlos – 50 to 50. He says he needs to consult with their parents. But he’s thinking of changing nationality.
Players like Marlos, we need. Team player, very fun and a great family man. I think he’ll join our team”, – quotes the words Stepanenko portal “Sport.ua”.
Marlos plays in Ukraine since January 11, 2012, and therefore can not qualify for Ukrainian citizenship. The naturalization process could start in early next year.
In Ukraine in Marlos, Metalist and Shakhtar in all competitions played 180 matches, scoring 35 goals and 41 giving the assist.
