In August, about half of Russians believe the economic situation in the country is satisfactory (49 percent), slightly less — poor (40 percent). As reported “Interfax”, according to a survey of Fund “Public opinion” (FOM).
In July these figures were at 45 percent each.
Six percent of respondents in July, and in August, described the situation in the economy as good. According to a third of respondents (33 percent), in recent years this has not changed. Deterioration was noticed in 41% of Russians, improve — 17, and the rest were undecided.
The poll was conducted August 20-21 among the three thousand respondents in 73 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The Ministry of economic development, in the first seven months of this year, GDP decreased by 0.9 percent compared to the corresponding period last year. Real wages in January-July remained at the level of last year. Inflation in July was 0.5 percent, from the beginning of the year to 3.9 percent.
