The pilot Roman Mavlanov became the first Russian who took part in the racing series NASCAR.
Mavlanov made his debut in the European series EURONASCAR 23-24 April. For riders this competition is a stepping stone to transition into the American NASCAR. Pilots perform at the same events with American cars, adapted to the European tracks. On cars with a V8 engine with a capacity of 450 horsepower.
“We are very pleased to welcome the Novel as the first ever Russian driver in Euro NASCAR,” said President of the European series Jerome Galpin.
“A great responsibility for me to be the first Russian pilot in this racing series, and I have made every effort in the fight for first place. The interest in Motorsport is growing, and the names of the Russian pilots have become more and more significant in international competitions. I am sure that such a spectacular series like Nascar, will attract Russian fans and lovers of high speeds,” added Mavlanov.
According to the results of Russian championship took fifth place in the absolute championship and rose to the highest step of the podium as best in the category of young drivers.
