Russian national team on biathlon has updated its record of the worst in the history of the world Cup, failing to win a single medal in seven races of the tournament, which is held in Norwegian Holmenkollen.

The record was set a day earlier, on Wednesday, when the women remained outside the medal places in the individual race. The same discipline on Thursday failed to win a medal and the representatives of the men’s team of Russia, reports TASS.

The winner of the individual race at the world championship, Frenchman Martin Fourcade, for whom this was his fourth gold medal this season.

Last time so badly at the world Cup, the domestic biathlon started in 2011 when the tournament took Khanty-Mansiysk. Then the series came to an end in the sixth race, when Maxim Maximov won the silver medal.

World Cup Russian biathletes had previously also remained without medals in the mixed relay race, sprint races, and pursuit races. The world Cup runs until 13 March.
