The traveler landed in 160 kilometers to the East of the town of Northam, where I started my journey on July 12.

Grooms on Saturday, overcame the last point needed to establish a new record. He managed to complete the circumnavigation in just over 11 days. The previous record belonged to the American Steve Fossett, who circled the planet in a balloon in 13 days.

During the trip, Konyukhov has set several records, particularly the record of altitude, which amounted to 10600 meters (over 11 thousand meters from the readings in the gondola).

In flight, the 64-year-old Russian faced difficult conditions. The air temperature was down to minus 55 degrees Celsius, the stove stopped working. To keep in touch, traveler hand held satellite phone in his bosom.
