Gori – one of the most interesting cities in Georgia.
Gori is the birthplace of not only Stalin, but also one of the oldest settlements on the territory of Georgia. The first settlement on this place has appeared more than 5000 years ago. In the center of town stands the rock with the ruins of the fortress of Goris-tsikhe. In 1946, a landslide on the Northern slope of the mountains brought to the surface numerous artifacts and burial of ancient times.
