Wards Eugene Verenice failed to qualify for the world championship on beach football.
In the first stage of qualifying for the world Cup 2017, “blue-yellow” no problems experienced – Ukrainians defeated Georgia (8:5) and Czech Republic (9:0), and the match against Austria was not held due to the absence of the opposing team.
The Ukrainian national team got to Group 3 – team Verenice for an exit in final tournament of the world championship was contested by Poland, Russia and Moldova. Only the winner of the Quartet got to the world Cup and the second team got a chance at the fifth place from Europe (the expansion of the participants of the world championship to 20 teams has not yet been confirmed).
Unfortunately for the Ukrainian team fighting for the championship ended after the first match – leading 3:1, “blue and yellow” poles lost, and in the final qualifying match and lost to Russia, having lost even theoretical chances for a trip to the Bahamas.
