The Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation is considering the possibility of the operation and maintenance of the technical condition of the aircraft An-124-100 “Ruslan” without the help of Ukrainian specialists. This is reported by RIA “Novosti” about the reference to the press service of the Ministry. The Department explained that the Ukrainian side does not fulfill its obligations for the maintenance of airworthiness of the aircraft, so the Ministry was forced to find a way out.
— Currently, the Russian operators are having trouble maintaining the airworthiness of the aircraft An-124-100 “Ruslan”, the holder of a type certificate which is the “Antonov”. Despite the claims of the SE “Antonov” about the maintenance of the type certificate of practical work in this direction, the Russian operators have been suspended. In this regard, we are forced to look for a solution to this problem, — said the Agency.
Earlier, the Ukrainian government threatened to ban all international flights of aircraft that belong to Russia, if Russia will refuse Ukrainian service of the aircraft.
The response of the Ukrainian side in today’s statement the Ministry of industry and trade is not followed.
