The militants of the terrorist groups used chemical weapons in the heart of the old city in Aleppo, Syria. “The terrorists have used weapons containing substances causing suffocation and relaxing the nervous system,” explained the representative. According to him, killing five civilians.

Earlier, on 2 August it was reported that two barrels filled with toxic substances, presumably chlorine, was dropped from an unknown helicopter on the Syrian town of Sarakeb in Idlib province. According to preliminary data, injured 28 people, mostly women and children.

In addition, on Tuesday, Reuters reported that at night in the area of the fall of the Russian Mi-8 near the Syrian city Sarakeb a helicopter dropped the tank with a toxic gas, possibly chlorine, which injured several dozen people.

Press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov called allegations of toxic gas in Syria spreading. In Washington said that if the information about the dumping of containers of toxic gases is confirmed, it will be a very serious problem.

On 1 August over the territory of the province of Idlib was shot down the Mi-8AMTSH helicopter, returning from Aleppo after the performance of the humanitarian mission (the delivery of food and medical supplies). On Board were three crew members and two officers of the Centre for reconciliation of the warring parties, they all died.

July 14, the Russian foreign Ministry issued a special statement in which he reported about the plans to accuse Moscow in the use of chemical weapons in Syria.
