In 1969, a tourist from England, Irving, Snyder traveled to the Soviet Union and, as befits a proper tourist, taking pictures of Soviet reality and the Soviet people. In his photographic archive, part of which is currently at the Jewish Museum and Archives of British Columbia, there are pictures of Irkutsk and its residents.
