Saudi doctor gave men advice on how to be their wives.
A family therapist from Saudi Arabia Khaled al-Saqabi released a video instructing how to properly beat his wife in accordance with Islamic norms.
The main task of beating the doctor thinks the punishment, teach spouses to the discipline, and not an attempt to take out his anger. According to him, to this measure is resorted to only if the wife is not fulfilling its responsibilities and behaves defiantly.
The husband should first try to use other methods of influence on a woman prescribed in the Qur’an: the conversation and the refusal to share the bed with her. Only then should resort to flogging.
The beating should not be carried out with a stick or sharp objects. Khaled al-Saqabi recommends instead to take the handkerchief or Sivak – the stick of Arak, used for cleaning teeth.
Specialist recognizes the sensitivity of the issue. “This issue is thorny and it contains many dangers,” said the doctor. But he is confident: “If it be Allah’s will, we will cross this bridge safely.”
The therapist sees the problem in the behavior of women. “Unfortunately, some wives want to live in equality with her husband. This is a very serious problem,” says al-Saqabi. Also, in his opinion, many women provoke their husbands into physical punishment.
In Saudi Arabia significantly limited the rights of women. They are not allowed to drive a car, work on the number of posts, and only in December last year, Saudi women first took part in the elections.
