The report States that the United States has a large balance of payments deficit, which, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce, for the first quarter of 2016 made up to 124.7 billion , or grew to 2.7% of GDP.
The IMF predicts that by 2020, the balance of payments deficit of the USA will rise to at least 4%, and this means that the dollar today is overvalued by 10-20%. At the same time, the IMF experts forecast growth of U.S. GDP to 2.2%. The forecast for 2017 was unchanged at 2.5% growth.
