The Taiwanese company HTC announced the release in Europe of its new smartphone One S9 for those who wants a powerful machine but have no money for the top model. S9 is the flagship, but still in 2014, although it has a metal body, and even in the processor it contains 8 cores.
The HTC One S9 already appeared in Germany, where his unlocked version requested exactly 500 euros. In return, the mobile phone can offer 2 GB of RAM, a microSD slot for expanding the built-in 16-Gigabyte memory chip and 8-core processor MediaTek Helio X10 with a frequency of 2 GHz. All seasoned with a battery capacity of 2840 mAh and metal housing. All this is no longer new and definitely not worth 500 euros in the presence of the much more affordable counterparts. Such a high price somehow allows you to forgive the presence of optical stabilization in the main 13-megapixel camera, dual-band module Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and support for microSD cards up to 2 terabytes.
The rest of the HTC One on the S9 is no different from many 200-dollar models, with modules GPS, NFC, LTE and Bluetooth 4.1, and having the usual UltraPixel frontalka. The screen here is also quite standard — a 5-inch IPS panel with Full HD resolution or 1920×1080 pixels. I am glad though that the Android OS directly upgraded to version 6.0 — no complaints here. Oh yeah, you can still note the acoustics of HTC BoomSound and stylish, although a secondary design. The rest of the HTC One S9 is no surprise. Wonder HTC has gone in Apple’s footsteps and began to sell cheap models at a high price — in the first quarter of this year sales of Apple smartphones fell by 10 million units just because of their cost against many more powerful and more affordable competitors.
