Andrey Danilko, better known to all as Verka Serduchka, gave a controversial interview to Ukrainian media.
Ukrainian singer, who for three years does not give concerts in his country, said that he thinks of the current Ukrainian authorities.
According to the comedian, it does not suit the Ukrainian government and the fact that she is now doing with people.
The artist said that the image of Verka Serduchka, he no longer sees itself, nor the concerts, nor on the TV screen, but he continues to work with the team, but only abroad. Danilko said that he does not understand how to take the post of the Ukrainian Prime Minister or the Ukrainian President, and if it does not think about ordinary people.
“The dollar exchange rate, tariffs, rates… I run a small team, but always think about it and if there is no work, and then suddenly gets an offer, we’ll take it at once and knock the money, because the management should think about its employees. Unfortunately, such actions from the leadership of the country”, – said Danilko.
“I don’t understand how you can be President or Prime Minister and not to think about people. I don’t like how we live now and what is happening with the Ukrainians. Now the television is often accused of corruption, the government of the country, but senior management is not going to refute all these things, if true. So maybe it’s all true?” – said Danilko.
He said that for about three years not performing in the country because they do not accept what is currently happening with the Ukrainians.
“Now I’m not going to appear neither on the screen nor in public, nor at a concert in the image of Verka Serduchka,” said Danilko. According to the artist, their team works and holds closed events, but in most cases it is overseas.
Danilko said that Verka Serduchka was not able to choose acceptable words to describe what is happening in the country.
