The expert report on the new Bellingcat mh17: in Russian it is called Lipa

Эксперт о новом докладе Bellingcat по MH 17: по-русски это называется липа

Bellingcat group has published another report in which the researchers prove the origin of the shot down Malaysian Boeing MH 17 over the Donbas installation “Buk”. Military expert Mikhail Krush in an interview with RT reviewed the methodology and findings of Bellingcat.

Calling itself “the expert group” organization Bellingcat, which deals with the investigation of the disaster Malaysian airliner MH 17 in Eastern Ukraine in 2014, has published a new report which stated that the authors were able to find out a number of anti-aircraft missile complex “Buk”, from which, presumably, was fired by Boeing. Members of the Bellingcat have put forward the theory that the Malaysian Boeing was shot down by fire unit under the number 332 is, in the opinion of the authors of the text, says “Beech” to the 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade, stationed in Kursk.

However, with the Bellingcat investigation, as with the, conclusions of the participants of the group agree not all ready. As noted in an interview with RT military expert major-General Mikhail Krush, concerns primarily the methodology, which is used by members of the Bellingcat. In particular, they rely on photographs of military equipment, done over a five-year period of its operation. “It’s not professional and somehow even funny, — said the expert. — During this period could happen, anything. Each combat vehicles at least twice a year seasonal maintenance and various maintenance work and upgrades. And some samples for this period can be simply recycled.”

In particular, the document Bellingcat special emphasis is placed on the false-side under the tracks of “Beech” (the researchers themselves called their “side flaps”). However, as Cruz explains, they are made of reinforced rubber and, for this reason, may not be the same in form throughout the technology, “a comparative analysis of the stains of soot and oil is more like a joke”, — said the expert. Not less questions, however, it causes and comparative analysis of the stains of soot and oil installations, as the arguments of the members of the group that you connect the cables from the left and starboard to the “carriage launchers” there are differences.

“All production models have standard cables of the same length and are connected only in a very specific order, otherwise the “start” command will not work on the selected anti-aircraft guided missile. And the cable management can be done in any order and often change during maintenance and repair work when they are off,” explains major-General.

In addition, in their study, the members of the group Bellingcat rely on photos rollers “Beech”, but forget that these same rollers in operation wear out. In this regard, they are constantly changed for new ones — this explains the fact that they can have different drawings of the disc.

Michael Cruz also draws attention to the fact that in many of his Bellingcat report places particular emphasis on the fleet number “Buka”, which, in their opinion, shot down flight MH 17. Proceeding from it the researchers conclude that “Buk” is Russian. However, as Cruz notes, “in accordance with standard Soviet Army practice, enshrined in military regulations and extant, such three-digit indetification military equipment exists in almost all the national armies in the former Soviet Union, including in Ukraine.” This number does not mean the supplies of military equipment to a state — the first digit indicates the division, the second the number of batteries in this division, and the last is, in fact, a number of the unit.

“This Board room can belong to the JMA any anti-aircraft missile military units, having in its composition three divisions. In particular, as already previously mentioned repeatedly, the “Buk-M1″ with the same tail number may belong, and 156 anti-aircraft missile regiment armed forces of Ukraine”, — says major-General.

In addition, the authors Bellingcat not pay attention to the fact that in the column, which, in their opinion, followed by “Buk”, only one car was conventional with a number beginning with the digit “3”, while all the rest in the early numbers had the digit “2”.

“This suggests that it is a technique of the second division and only one third. With full responsibility I declare that if this column was to combat the problem, such “raznosortitsy” in the numbering of combat vehicles just couldn’t be. For the mission, anti-aircraft missile battalion would be sent as part of the regular combat vehicles”, — says Mikhail Krush, noting that all of these inaccuracies cast doubt on the competence of the members of the Bellingcat, if you do not talk about their engagement.

“As the Russians say it’s just a “cheap fake”, — he said.
