The EU has extended for one year sanctions against the Crimea

The European Union has extended until 23 June 2017 economic restrictive measures against the annexed Crimea.

“The EU Council has extended until 23 June 2017 restrictive measures in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia”, – stated in the EU.

These measures impose restrictions on the activities of individuals and companies from the EU to the territory of Crimea.

We are talking about a ban on the import of goods originating from Crimea and Sevastopol; investment in Crimea and Sevastopol, including a ban on the purchase of real estate, financing Crimean companies and the provision of financial services; tourism, including a ban on entry of cruise ships in Crimean ports; export to Crimea of certain goods and technologies, in particular for use in transport, telecommunications and energy sectors (including use in the production of oil, gas and minerals).
