Armed with the latest research results, experts from the European Association for the study of diabetes ready to refute sacrosanct in the past, postulate about the benefits of 6 meals a day is a fractional power for diabetics.

Now, clinical data collected from the real patients has led researchers to conclusions opposite to the intended.

12 weeks testing participants who adhered to the 2-time diet lost weight, on average, 3.7 kg; and patients receiving the same volume of food from the fractional – only 2.3 kg.

The reduction in fatty infiltration of the liver for the first group amounted to 0,04%, for the second – 0,03%.

In addition, the subjects who took food only 2 times a day, to the greatest extent, increased sensitivity of beta cells to insulin, decreased glucose concentration in the blood, as well as the content of C-peptide, glucagon.

Thus, we can safely say that 2 times a day, not 6 meals (fractional) power, more efficiently, and to achieve compensation of diabetes patients to achieve greater control over biochemical parameters of blood (glucose, C-peptide, glucagon) and the sensitivity of the beta cells of the pancreas to insulin.
