The Ministry of culture of Russia has denied information about installing surveillance cameras in hallways of hotel rooms, reports RIA Novosti.

Previously “Izvestia” wrote that in charge of the tourism sector, the Ministry is developing a project about the additional security measures in hotels. In particular, allegedly proposed to introduce in the hotels baggage coming and provide each of them with metal detectors.

“On every floor and possibly in every room will be equipped with alarm buttons. This point is still under discussion. In the hallways of the rooms will be installed security cameras. In General, the behavior of hotel guests will be watching,” — said the source publication.

The Ministry of culture announced that in the corresponding government resolution “On approval of requirements to anti-terrorist protection of hotels and other accommodation, providing accommodation services and forms of the passport of safety of these objects” is not a word about the cameras in the rooms.
