Irish fighter of the mixed style, the champion Absolute fighting championship (UFC), Conor McGregor has announced his retirement. Of its decision on April 19, he wrote on Twitter.
“I decided to retire young. Thank you all. I’ll see you later,” McGregor wrote.
March 9, McGregor admitted that he is delighted with President of Russia Vladimir Putin, and added that he considers the Russian people strong.
The next day the Deputy of the state Duma Dmitry Nosov invited McGregor to become a citizen of Russia, but the Irishman refused.
March 5, McGregor was defeated by American Nate Diaz in the second round of the main fight in UFC 196. The championship belt was left for the Irish, as the fight wore titular character. This defeat became the third in the career of the 27-year-old athlete with 19 wins (17 by knockout).
During the fight with Diaz 27-year-old Irishman received a record for the UFC fees — a million dollars.
