Armed men opened fire from automatic weapons in the market town of Kokrajhar.
14 people were killed and 30 injured in an attack by militants at a crowded market in the town of Kokrajhar in the North-East of India.

Unidentified men drove up to the market on a scooter and opened fire with automatic weapons, in addition, they threw hand grenades into a few shops.

According to law enforcement, one of the attackers was killed. There were three or four, the police said. Eyewitnesses said that the militants were from five to seven.
