This artist did not aspire to success within the Soviet system, he behaved as befits a marginal artist in the USSR: drank a lot, did not engage in any professional and creative unions, he loved beautiful women and did not recognize authority in the cause to which he dedicated his short life.
Lucky Vitas was born in Latvia, lived in Vilnius and married a Russian girl, Tanya. Friends in their home were from different parts of the Soviet Union. His home workshop was distinguished by impeccable interior, there was a lot of antique furniture, books, silver, on the walls – paintings, and music was always played. The work absorbed him completely. He drank a lot, worked a lot and was looking for answers to eternal and endless questions.
