Their first meeting happened in “Before sunrise”, the reunion happened a decade later in “Before sunset” and later the story of married life in “Before midnight”. And not what their story spread on three films, makes their relationship special. Rather it’s the actors who conveyed the feelings of the characters covering them throughout history. Hawke and Delpy contributed to the scripts for both sequels, which made their relationship even more believable.
No. 8: Sam wheat and Molly Jensen in “Ghost” (1990)
The audience immediately fell in love with Sam and Molly, thanks to their immortal stage with a Potter’s wheel. What makes the story even more tragic, when Sam dies at the hands of Molly, shortly thereafter. And even in death, Sam is committed to protecting the beloved. These two spend most of the next film and at the same time unimaginably far away. In spite of the fantastic stories, it quite makes clear what it means to lose a loved one.
No. 7: Danny Zuko and sandy Olsson “grease” (1978)
“Grease” may not be the most reliable source representing the school 50-ies. But the topic that he touches, sounds believable, especially the relationship between Danny and sandy.
