Amazing sculptures of birds and animals created from ordinary paper.
Interesting to see how something banal and dull, like old unwanted magazines and Newspapers, is what can be called art.
An Australian artist named Anna-Wiley Highfield loves its docile birds from this simple material. The result is sculpture, a work of genius in its simplicity. Unlike other masters of paper art, Australian works somewhat careless, which makes it work similar to an outline of the workpiece for something more ambitious. There is in these sculptures some innuendo, but perhaps this is their phenomenon, their charm.
Most of all, the artist likes to create paper birds. From scraps of paper it turns out a whole flock of different birds, and very rarely are images of local, Australian birds. So, we do not find among paper sculptures nor kiwi, nor ostriches, but starlings, owls, crows and sparrows are present here in abundance.
