The authorities of the United Arab Emirates have warned their citizens that they are not carried abroad their traditional clothes.
This warning came after last week the police of the U.S. state Ohio was laid on the ground and arrested the businessman from the UAE dressed in a long white shirt (dishdasha) with a white handkerchief (getroi) on the head.
As reported by the press of the UAE, the businessman was at the hotel of the city of Avon, where it aroused the suspicions of an employee of the hotel who called the police.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of the UAE in their accounts in “Twitter” in Arabic and English, advises its citizens to wear the national dress while abroad, and adhere to local rules of conduct, but does not mention the incident in Ohio.
It also contains advice to women not to wear burqa in those European countries where it is prohibited.
