Peru suffered a head-on collision of two buses.
In Peru, the result of a frontal collision of two buses killed 17 people and more than 40 were injured.
“At least 17 people were killed and dozens injured after a head-on collision of two buses on the Peruvian highway”, – stated in the message.
According to Dr. Juan josé Aguardo, more than 40 injured were taken to the hospital in the city of Nazca, near the scene of the accident.
According to the police statement, the incident occurred early Wednesday morning local time: one of the buses was heading from the southern part of Cusco, Lima, and the other was traveling in a southerly direction from the city of ICA. The cause of the accident is not yet established, the police are also working to ID victims.
