Tennis in Ukrainian: Tsurenko steps into the quarterfinals of the Nuremberg

Meeting with Polona Herzog became a serious test for Tsurenko – the second racket of Ukraine found the strength to turn the tide of the emerging unsuccessful match and for the first time in the season made it to the quarterfinals in the tournament series WTA.

In the course of the first set tennis players organized nine breaks, but Tsurenko, leading 5:4 and 40:0 in the opponent’s serve and managed to lose four set-bol and gave it a launch party

In the second set, Herzog took on spirit 3:1 – Tsurenko did a back break, and in the tenth game once again took delivery rivals and transferred the game into the deciding set.

The initiative was entirely on the side of the Ukrainian tennis players, and Tsurenko used the fracture in the game – on one break of the opponent from Kiev found three answers. The quarter-finals guaranteed Tsurenko 60 points and almost five thousand euros in prize money.

For the semi-finals of a clay tournament in Nuremberg Lesia, Tsurenko will face the winner of the match between Yulia Gerges (Germany) and Yulia Putintseva (Kazakhstan).
