The first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina confidently launched at a major tournament in Moscow.
The status of the fourth seeded Svitolina missed the first round and started the tournament from 1/8 final match against the 34-th racket of the world of Yulia Putintseva, in the first round at the crack passed Lesya Tsurenko.
Svitolina last year, three times defeated the Kazakh, and today brought the account of personal meetings 4:2. Putintseva Ukrainian hasn’t lost since 2012, since tennis players have played on the ITF level.
For a half hour Svitolina made five breaks and once missed his serve. The problems some of us arose only in the middle of the first set when Putintseva from the account 0:3 almost restored parity. Elina has played a break point and did not allow the opponent to catch hold of his serve.
For the semi-finals of the Kremlin Cup Elina Svitolina will face the winner of the match between Croatian Ana Horseman and tennis player from Russia Anne of Blinkovo.
