These lines reveal to us the V. D. Polenov, as a passionate angler that wanted to “treat” the fishing fun of his friend. But, in fairness, we note that “place of residence” K. Korovin myself here and not bought, and, apparently, rarely visited these places. But in 1892, he was definitely here, as evidenced by his painting “On the Oka river”, dated this year. Looking at the picture of V. Serov “Artist K. Korovin on the river Bank” it’s hard to say whether it is an Eye, and it may be and Nerl, on the banks of which the artist was his house, which loved to visit with F. I. Chaliapin.
But back on the banks of the Oka. Much water has flowed since then, but now few people are surprised Oka pike or perch. In Tarusa, in a wonderful way the beauty of the river combined with the beauty of the “refuge of art and science”. That’s called the Tarus, to preserve its identity and rhythm of life to the present day. And in the “shelter” live: M. Tsvetaeva, N. Z, B. Ahmadulina, G. Oster, A. S. Novikov-Surf, N. Vatagin and other celebrities, list of which is very difficult. And therefore we will leave this occupation for more meticulous, let’s go on to K. G. Paustovsky, who lived here for the last fourteen years of his life.

Wandering the streets of Tarusa, suddenly turning into ravines, Hiking trails, begin to feel some kind of magic attraction of Tarusa. Here time is clearly slowing down, providing a unique opportunity to enjoy a leisurely way of life in harmony with Nature.
And Nature, in its rich, vast, alluring vistas, airy open spaces, wooded cliffs and river expanse.
