The mayor of the Lebanese city allowed residents to arm themselves.
A suicide bomber blew himself up near the Church of Mar Elias in the town of al-QAA in Eastern Lebanon, have killed and wounded.
According to the channel, the first terrorist threw a bag of explosives to the place where citizens gather near the Church, then detonated an explosive device on the pectoral girdle. Another explosion thundered near the building of city hall.
Newspaper “An-Nahar” writes that the citizens of El Kaa demanded from army to pull into the city more forces to provide security and to withdraw from the scene of dead and wounded.
Earlier, the Lebanese army command said on Monday morning in al-Kaa four suicide bombers blew themselves up. Six people were killed and 17 injured, including four soldiers, who arrived at the emergency after the first explosion.
The town of El-Kaa is located 135 kilometers from the capital of Lebanon Beirut. The majority of the population are Christians. The city is also home to several thousand refugees from Syria.
