The relic was stolen from Cologne Cathedral.
From Cologne Cathedral stole the cloth with a drop of blood of Pope John Paul II, announced today by the German police.
The relic was kept in a glass container at the base of the statue of Pope John Paul II, who led the Catholic Church from 1978 until his death in 2005.
The police assume that the container was stolen in the night on Sunday.
