Stan Lee is the nephew of the Creator of Marvel Comics Martin Goodman – was the associate publisher in the mid 40-ies of XX century. He invented many famous and beloved by readers of comic book characters – spider-Man, Hulk, X-Men, Iron man, Fantastic four and many others. In a recent interview with artist, writer, presenter and showman admitted that one of the films, which was based on invented characters, not quite the way he saw it.

During the exhibition, Fan Expo Canada, Stan Lee spoke with CBR correspondent, who admitted that in General he likes all the movies based on MARVEL comics. However, there is one point that still bothers the author – actor who was chosen for the role of Dr. doom in the first film of the series “Fantastic four” 2005 – Julian McMahon.
Stan Lee admitted that he was disappointed with the actor, whom the authors of the first “Fantastic four” has been chosen to play the main villain. It seemed to him that he was not convincing enough:I was somewhat disappointed the first “Fantastic four” because I didn’t like what the authors did Dr. doom. But otherwise I thought the film was excellent. The actors who played the main role, coped with its task. I think the authors managed to keep the spirit of comics, they are very carefully treated to the main characters. No one of them I have no complaints. It seems to me that all released films of the series turned out better than they could have expected. Even the first one was good. Or maybe I’m just a very big fan of yourself.”
